Metropolitan Museum of Art Engagement Session

As card-carrying members of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Alex and TS knew that an engagement session in their favorite exhibits was a must-do. After a cuddle on the front steps, the couple made their way to the Temple of Dendur, the Chinese Garden (one of their favorite rooms) and then through the collection of Greek and Roman art. In all, a perfect date night and a perfect way to commemorate the engagement excitement.

How did you meet?

We met through a mutual good friend who introduced us to each other in 2017, and the rest is history!

What is your proposal story?

It was Christmas Eve, and we had made reservations for dinner at Jean-Georges restaurant at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. We arrived early and took a stroll in nearby Central Park. During our walk through the park, TS got down on one knee and proposed! It was really memorable and we enjoyed the dinner very much afterwards.

Tell us about the ring/band.

My engagement ring is a beautiful 2 carat diamond ring.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

I (Alex) was wearing a coat from United Colors of Benetton that I got in Spain, with a colorblock sweater from UNIF & Gap jeans. For accessories, I wore a very cute handmade purse by the brand Made by Alex (website: madebyalex.shop) and earrings from Mejuri. My husband (TS) wore a vintage Woolrich coat and a vintage sweater.

Have you started planning your wedding? What is your wedding date?

Our original wedding date wasn’t able to take place due to Covid, so we got married on July 15.
