Western-Styled Stockyard Engagement Session

Alexia and Read’s engagement session with White Orchid Photography featured a whole lot of country charm – including cattle! The colors of Alexia’s turquoise ring, Read’s navy suit and the copper walls of the Fort Worth Stockyards made these photos so unique and shows us a glimpse into their passions in life and in their relationship. If any couple could pull off standing next to cattle for some romantic photos and make it look good, it’s these two!

How did you meet?

We met when we both were attending Texas A&M University. (Whoop!)

What is your proposal story?

Before we started dating and all throughout our relationship, we consistently had a steak dinner date once a week. One day over this past summer, Read planned and prepared a whole steak dinner at home after both of us got off work, and popped the question while the two of us had dinner. It was a very sweet and intimate moment since it was over something we had loved and carried throughout our relationship.

Tell us about the ring/band.

The ring is an emerald cut diamond, with 1mm diamonds set all the way around the band. It is from Collections Fine Jewelry in Dallas, Texas.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

Alexia’s dress was a cream wrap dress from Lulu’s and her shoes were faux crocodile skin with pointed toes from Amazon. Her accessories were from Turquoise Tuesday. Reads’ suit was navy blue with a white dress shirt. Both were from Men’s Warehouse.
