There’s nothing quite like love in the spring. For Emily and Jacob’s Long Island engagement photography, they decided to head over to Islip Grange Park for a little stroll. They are literally the sweetest and look so easy going. They both seem super giggly and we can see that they must have been cracking jokes the whole session from al the laughs we see. We love how the cracked opened a few beers from their favorite brewing company, Westhampton Beach Brewing Co., during the session and caught up like old friends.
We are in love with Emily’s gorgeous engagement ring and can’t stop staring at. Jacob picked it out and he did a great job. It is bright and beautiful, just like their relationship.
From the photographer: I got to chat with both of them before we got started. Emily mentioned “I love tickling him to make him laugh (he is extremely ticklish). Other than that, we just say silly/stupid things to each other to make each other laugh. Or just making faces at each other.” They are the so sweet and look like they had so much fun!
How did you meet?
We met at church 🙂 I grew up in the church, and his family started coming about 5 years ago. We immediately became good friends.
What is your proposal story?
We had a day trip planned to do some hiking in Pennsylvania. When we got to the top of the mountain, he was insistent on finding a private spot to sit. Once he found a spot, he laid down a blanket for us to sit on. Then, he pulls out a letter and gives it to me. The letter talked about our relationship and what he loves about me. While I was reading the letter he had our favorite song playing (what will be our first dance). At the end of the letter he wrote “so I just have one question for you…” so I turn to him and he gets down on one knee and pulls out the ring and asks me to marry him. After I said yes (while bawling my eyes out) he pulls out a huge bouquet of flowers out of his backpack! He carried it in his backpack all the way up the mountain and they still looked so beautiful!!! It was the sweetest moment ever.
Tell us about the ring/band.
My ring is a yellow gold band with a round Diamond on it. I love how simple and dainty, yet beautiful it is.
Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.
We wanted what we wore to our engagement shoot to be a reflection of who we are and how we normally dress. I wore a floral dress with sandals. He wore a button down denim shirt with olive green pants and his favorite boots.

Yes!!! It’s September 30th, 2021. So soon!!
