What a proposal! Imagine getting whisked away to Rome (swoon already) and taking a fun excursion to Janiculum Hill only to get engaged (swoon times a million). We’re so elated for this couple. An engagement proposal with Andrea Matone Photography is a thing of beauty.
How did you meet?
We met aboard the Disney Cruise Line on a ship called the Disney Dream. Both of us were traveling with friends who happened to know each other. We had the opportunity to hang out aboard the ship a few times. When we got off the ship, our friends had helped set us up to start talking. A few weeks later we met up for our first date.
What is your proposal story?
We had been planning a two week European trip for a year and a half. I knew once the trip started getting closer that I wanted to propose in Italy. My family heritage is Italian and I thought what better way to get engaged than overlooking the beautiful Rome skyline. I found out about Janiculum Hill from a few friends who had studied abroad in Rome. As soon as we got up there I knew this was the perfect spot.
Tell us about the ring/band.
The ring is a round halo ring with a carat center stone and diamonds going half way down the side.
