NYC Summer Stroll Engagement Session

Melissa and Mike enjoyed a casual walk through NYC’s central park conservatory gardens for their classy, summer engagement session. Melissa’s light blue heels brought a pop of color to the already vibrant shots by Laura Diliberto.

How did you meet?

My husband and I met at our neighborhood dojo! I had been training there in karate for years and he was a new jujitsu student. We met at the dojo’s annual Christmas party, and the rest is history.

What is your proposal story?

Michael proposed to me on a Wednesday night in my apartment after a casual dinner. I thought he was just going to grab his coat to go home and he surprised me with a proposal!

Tell us about the ring/band.

My ring is a beautiful antique art deco ring that is over 100 years old. My husband picked it from Estate Diamond Jewelry in Manhattan, NY. It is a 2-carat diamond ring surrounded with small Colombian emeralds. My wedding band I got to match, with a silver band and emeralds going across.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

Laura shot our engagement pictures and they turned out so beautifully! I wore a thrifted white silk cocktail dress with periwinkle heels. Mike wore blue dress slacks with a matching blazer.

Have you started planning your wedding? What is your wedding date?

We got married October 25, 2019 🙂
