Majestic Outdoor Engagement Session in New Hampshire

With each photo from Carolina Marles Photography in this nature-centric e-sesh in New Hampshire, you are given a healthy heaping of picture-perfect landscapes. In one set of photos, craggy mountainsides. In another, a bursting waterfall. A cute, red covered bridge from yesteryear? You bet. Kate and Nick, you two hit the engagement session jackpot.

How did you meet?

We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, things did not play out as smoothly as Nick had hoped at first. Kate turned down a dance with him, not once, but twice. As the night went on, we finally got to talking, and luckily hit it off, much better than on the dance floor.

What is your proposal story?

Kate grew up ski racing, and Nick…did not. Learning to ski under Kate’s guidance was the first step in Nick’s proposal. Four years later, Nick can finally keep up with Kate, but on that wind-chilled overcast day at Attitash, he found an excuse to get her to pull over and take a photo with him. After kicking off his skis at Humphrey’s Ledge, he pulled a ring box out of his pocket and completely surprised her! Needless to say, that was the last run of the day, and we went right into the lodge to celebrate!

Tell us about the ring/band.

After some helpful hints, and a bit of snooping, Nick was able to sneak away to a local jeweler and, with the help of his mom, pick out something that Kate would love forever. Kate’s engagement ring contains a round diamond on a four-prong raised setting. The slim white gold band is surrounded with pavé diamonds.
