Matthew toiled for months on executing the perfect Roman proposal to Jamie. Naturally, he called upon maestro photographer Andrea Matone to assist him and it was pulled off effortlessly at the picturesque Terrazia del Pincio. Jamie was unsuspecting, and beautifully surprised about the huge moment. From Jamie’s perspective, it’s such a treat to get a romantic proposal like this AND you’re dressed to the nines together when your engagement photographer starts snapping away!
What is your proposal story?
After our 15 year journey, this past year has been amazing for us both personally and professionally. Our growth as individuals and as a couple made us realize this is the time! Our proposal happened in Rome. It was a complete surprise and I was able to work with the great help of a local photographer Andrea Matone. Since november we organized the location, process of having a mercedes pick us up from the hotel and drop us at the meeting point where our photographer was waiting so that he could capture the moment. The location was fantastic in Terrazza del Pincio overlooking Rome.
Tell us about the ring/band.
The ring is special. The diamond is an old mine cut diamond that has been in the family for many generations, so it has lots of character and looks great on a solitaire ring. It was recently put on a new setting and gold ring from a local jewelry here in Toronto.
