Caleigh and Dakota are high school sweethearts who chose the Slaton Yellow House canyons for their engagement shoot. A romantic and meaningful choice as the couple attended Slaton schools together. The ring is a stunning 2.5 carat elongated oval with a hidden halo and a 3/4 eternity band. Kirsten Prater Photography captured their love that simply radiated through their pictures. The couple planned to marry the weekend after this beautiful shoot.
How did you meet?
We met when we were in high school. I was a cheerleader and he was a football player and we got paired to walk out together for the homecoming pep rally. After that, we started looking for ways to bump into each other every day and he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. Even when we were teenagers, we planned on getting married and being together forever, so it just makes it that much more special that we made it!!
What is your proposal story?
Dakota planned the most beautiful picnic in the park. He got my favorite wine and cooked my favorite meal. He even had it all in the cutest picnic basket! He made it such a surprise and even took the time to ask my dad for permission before he proposed
