Tiffanie and Sarah are going to brave the rest of their lives together, so why not brave the chilly temperature of the lake for their engagement? Roy of Roy Serafin Photo Co. captured the sparkling water, colorful sunset and magical love of this couple at Weko Beach in Bridgman, Michigan. Their outfits represented their individual personalities as well as celebrating the natural beauty of their hometown, but the love between them radiated as if they were one. While the water was cold their love and smiles are nothing but warm.
How did you meet?
We have been friends for over a decade! We were not by any means close best friends but spent a lot of time with the same social group of friends, but we both have always seemed to have been in other relationships all those times. It’s been a blessing and at times frustrating with how well we knew each others past relationships. However, I would not change a thing! We were the lucky ones!
What is your proposal story?
Sarah planned a fun weekend get away in Mackinac for what Tiffanie thought was a celebration of completing her summer semester in her school program. We were walking along Lake Michigan when we saw a woman and a man taking some fun pictures of the beautiful bridge. Sarah had known she wanted to propose with the bridge in the background. Sarah quickly ran up to the lady and told her she was about to propose and asked if she would take a couple pictures. Turns out the lady said she’d do one better, she was actually a photographer and took several pictures including a video! After the proposal and Tiffanie said yes, Tiffanie couldn’t stop crying! We both agreed to cross the bridge for dinner to celebrate when, the tire popped half way on the bridge and was flat down to the rim. Then eventually it started to rain. Tiffanie gave Sarah a 24 hour notice for revoking the proposal. The proposal was not revoked and we are happier than ever and continue to laugh about that day ever since! Favorite story to tell.
Tell us about the ring/band. Please be as descriptive as possible.
The engagement ring Tiffanie wears is a pear cut moissanite ring with a diamond band that was carefully detailed and created by Sarah. Sarah’s band is a silver band with 8 small diamonds for some slight blind but Sarah wanted a very casual band.
Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.
We did not want to match in our photos but wanted enough neutral tones to capture the natural beauty of our beach town.
Have you started planning your wedding? What is your wedding date?
The wedding has been in the process since the proposal happened! 10.22.2022 is our time!
