Edgy Cape Town Engagement Session

Naturally, Jade and Dale had a bit of stage fright as soon as their e-session with Just Frame Me Photography went underway. After a cup of coffee at Haas Collective, the duo started relaxing in front of photog Karien’s lens. They ventured the streets of Cape Town and ended their day at a fantastic location with amazing street murals. We’re elated J + D were able to have fun during their session; that tidbit always produces wonderful shots.

How did you meet?

We met in 2008 at a school outing and here we are, still best friends!!

What is your proposal story?

Wow Dale really tried something out his comfort zone. He basically asked my parents and told his parents as well, and he then got 2 of my work colleagues involved. On 15th June 2017 a normal working day for me I get a surprise visit at my office. Dale was dressed up and had a bunch of flowers, my first reaction was “WHAT THE HECK” and he went down on one knee in front of everyone at my work, sweating like crazy because he was nervous and POPPED the question. 🙂

Tell us about the ring/band.

I love simplicity and Dale knows me too well, he got me very simple yet pretty diamond ring. I have small fingers as well so it fits just right and I love it.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

It was out first photo shoot together and we just wanted to be comfortable and relaxed. We took photos in 2 different locations and I decided to wear a dress at the coffee shop and changed into jeans when we hit the streets in Woodstock. We are both very easy going so we tried to keep it very simple and natural.
