Emily Alyssa Photography perfectly captured a couple of ‘Big Apple’ love birds in the crisp October air. Kelsea and Louis rocked their modern NYC engagement session – strolling through the streets and dancing on the rooftops while taking in the views of the city they call home.
How did you meet?
We met interning for the same company in 2011 and started dating the following year.
What is your proposal story?
When we got engaged, we were living in lower Manhattan. Louis planned a day trip to Poughkeepsie in New York’s Hudson Valley. We stopped at the Walkway Over the Hudson and Louis proposed while we were looking out over the Hudson Valley. Afterwards, we stopped by a winery to celebrate followed by dinner back in Manhattan.
Tell us about the ring/band.
The engagement ring is a solitaire, six prong diamond with a simple gold band.
Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.
For our rooftop look, we went for classic cocktail attire. Louis wore a simple button down and Kelsea wore a black Kate Spade dress and leopard flats. For roaming around the city, we wore more casual outfits. We wore jeans and jackets.
