Southern Cypress Grove Engagement Session

Jason and Teresa’s whimsical engagement session has us wanting to stroll the park in our favorite breezy outfit! Their casual-yet-elegant photos from Love and Serve Photography showcase their playful love through vibrant burgundy hues, Teresa’s flowy skirt, and their contagious smiles!

How did you meet?

We both went to the University of Central Florida for our Accounting degrees. One day in class, I(Jason) answered a question in class as “100 and three zeros” instead of just saying “100,000”. This caused confusion and a created a funny moment in our class. After all this died down and the class continued, Teresa (being the comic she is) answered the next question and said “300 and three zeros”. This caused histeria and I decided that I had to get to know this girl!

What is your proposal story?

We were engaged on the sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island on Florida’s West Coast. On our last day of the vacation, I (Jason) had planned a secret photoshoot to capture the moment. As we were enjoying the serenity of the beach I distracted her long enough for me to pull out the ring, get down on one knee and ask her to make me the happiest man in the world.

Tell us about the ring/band.

The engagement ring is a Monique Lhuillier embellished six-prong diamond ring in platinum. It has small diamonds all around a solitaire diamond with a infinity knot in diamonds on either side of the main diamond.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

We decided to go for an elevated casual with warm neutral tones. Jason wore a khaki Henley long sleeve, dark wash jeans and Beckett Simonon oak-colored boots. Teresa wore a burgundy long sleeve to match her burgundy eye wear from Warby Parker (burgundy is her favorite color) with a Zarakhaki-sheen midi skirt and camel colored heels.
