Savannah Plantation Engagement Session

Priscilla and Jason’s lives are full of travelling to beautiful parts of the world, so we aren’t surprised that they chose a location in the South that makes you speechless by just looking at one photo. The Georgian Weeping Willows hovered over the couple as they swayed with the trees in their elegant outfits. This couple knew just how to make a January session feel so warm and Hannah Marilyn Photography knew just how to capture it.

How did you meet?

Jason and I met at Tomorrow World Music Festival in 2013. Our friends had planned a group meet-up weeks before the festival, where everyone would travel to Atlanta and Charlotte for the weekend to see different DJs play. Needless to say, it was the best weekend of our lives.

What is your proposal story?

In December 2018, we decided to go to Europe to visit [again] our favorite city, Amsterdam, followed by a trip to Paris. We arrived in town on Christmas Eve, where we had pizza to celebrate. The following day, we spent the day exploring museums. First the Rijksmeuseum, then the Van Gogh Museum, and finally the Stedelijk Museum… it was very cold outside, but inside was very warm, however Jason would not check in his coat. The places were burning up, but his excuse was that he had his passport and a gigantic external battery in his coat pocket, so he didn’t want to lose any of it. Fair enough…

Christmas Day was ending and the sun was setting. People were laughing at the ice skating rink and a man was playing the saxophone somewhere in the background. Jason asked if he could try the new selfie stick tripod (I know, lame) and asked me to hold his phone so he could get his external battery from his jacket pocket…. instead, there it was. A small wooden box with a ring inside. I do not remember what he said due to my uncontrollable cry, but I said YES!

Tell us about the ring/band.
