Pismo Beach Shoreline Engagement Session

Julia and Nick’s coastal engagement session is one to remember! While most beach photos only feature the sand and the water, their photos also included some dramatic shots taken along the rocky shoreline. With the waves crashing beside them and the blanket feature, we LOVE how this Cali couple’s photos turned out, and we know they feel the same.

How did you meet?

Who says you can’t meet IRL (in real life) anymore?! It all started one night when Julia was having a girls’ night and Nick was out with the boys. One of her girlfriends was nursing a breakup when she spotted an old Bumble date from across the bar. “Go flirt with him!” Julia encouraged. Moments later, the guy and his friends walk by and sure enough they started chatting, leaving Julia awkwardly standing there next to his friend. The two started talking and before the girls left, Nick asked for her number so they could grab dinner that week. Luckily, Nick made good on his offer and the rest is history!

What is your proposal story?

Julia and Nick were up visiting his parents on the Oregon coast, where the two were getting their parents together to meet for the first time. It had been raining all day, so the families decided to tour Rouge Brewery and visit the science museum to wait out the weather. Upon leaving the museum, the sun came out and Nick asked Julia if she wanted to take a walk down to the water. On the beach, Nick got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, their families were “in the know,” so they celebrated that evening back at the house!
