With the energy that radiates off Niko and Angelina when they’re together, it’s no surprise that they envisioned an engagement that was different from typical ones. Their smiles shone as bright as the beautiful water that provided the backdrop for that special question to be asked, while Kaitlyn of Kaitlyn Hays Photography captured their love on camera. A lakeside shoot was just another special moment in their journey from meeting in high school, where Angelina claims it was love at first sight, to their joyous future together after popping that champagne bottle in the lake to celebrate their engagement.
How did you meet?
We met in our 8th grade Spanish class! Niko was the new kid on the block and as soon as he walked in Angelina fell in love at first sight.
What is your proposal story?
We scheduled our first photoshoot together to celebrate our new place together and to honor our 9 year anniversary. In the middle of our photoshoot Niko got down on one knee and Angelina bawled like a little baby and said yes!

My ring is so stunning and gorgeous ! A daintyring perfect for Angelina’s little fingers and came in thecutest teal box from Tiffany’s.
Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.
I wore a basic white top, ripped jeans, and nude heels while he wore white button down, jeans, and boots. Our formal outfit was a long floral dress and blue top with jeans and boots.
Have you started planning your wedding? What is your wedding date?
We have started planning and are so excited! We day I Do on May 13, 2022. We share the same birthday and were born on Friday the 13th so we decided to also get married on a Friday the 13th.
