Golden Honolulu Shore Engagement Session

Engagements sessions in Hawaii are perfect for the fun loving, adventurous couple that love passion and romance. With the hot sun and cool waves, it’s the perfect backdrop for an engagement session memory that lasts a lifetime. Charlotte and Christian spent their engagement session dancing and cuddling through the trees and on the shore.

How did you meet?

Two and a half years ago, I was travelling in Hawaii, while Christian was living here. We both somehow managed to book a weekend trip to Maui, and we met on a hike on the road to Hana (The Pipiwai Trail). He claims he had a crush on me since day one.

What is your proposal story?

We love to celebrate our monthly anniversary, so it’s tradition that we do something each and every month on the 3rd. Christian had planned this immaculate day of events including a sushi dinner on the beach, but at this time the Covid restrictions were very strict on the island. After trying to locate several places to have a picnic, we ended up having our cute picnic at home instead. He set up candles, tablecloths and everything! After we ate, he asked me to dance. When my favorite Ed Sheeran song came on, he went down on one knee and proposed. It was the most perfect proposal.

Tell us about the ring/band.

Oh goodness, the ring he gave me had such a big diamond on it, I was afraid to lose it! I psycho clean the house all the time, so he told me how hard it was to keep it secret from me and hide it in the house haha. He had it hidden in the toiletries bag in our bathroom for weeks! The ring is a big ol’ diamond, with a raised setting that forms a heart. It’s only visible from the side, so it’s a little secret for the both of us to look at.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

We wanted our photos to be fun, happy and lighthearted, so it matched our personalities. So we are just wearing plain and simple colors! One photo we absolutely love is the one where both of us are wearing a t-shirt representing each of our own businesses. We are self employed, with our own online businesses, and it’s just so incredible that we have both accomplished our goals . Our goals, interests and passions are almost identical, and being able to have a photo that symbolizes how much work we have put into our businesses and how much success we have seen this year was important to us. My business is called Brand Babe, and Christians is Publishing Life.

Have you started planning your wedding? What is your wedding date?

So we don’t have several anniversary dates, we plan to have our wedding on November 3rd, 2021(That’s our anniversary each year!)We are definitely planning on having it in Hawaii! It’s just so beautiful here and we want our friends and family to have an excuse to come here! I would love to have an intimate wedding, farm-to-table style. Been looking at venues since last year, and honestly it’s really hard to decide because Hawaii is absolutely beautiful.
