How did you meet?

My mother introduced us. Travis grew up around a lot of my cousins and is friends with many of them. My family has known his family for years. My grandparents actually rented the house that’s on his family farm where our engagement pictures were taken. They rented the house for 30$ a month from his grandparents years ago.

What is your proposal story?

Travis proposed at my home after we had a wonderful evening out to eat. He had tied the engagement ring around my dog Oscar’s neck. He called the dog in the living room where we were sitting. Oscar ran up to me to say hello, I saw a ribbon around his neck and as I examined the ribbon I saw the ring attached to it.  As I untied the ribbon and took the ring off. Travis got down on one knee and  asked me to marry him! Without hesitation, I said YES!

Tell us about the ring/band.

Travis picked out my ring by himself. I wanted a round solitaire diamond, which he did a wonderful job picking out. He told me I could pick out the band I wanted. Later we went to look at bands to set the round solitaire in. My bands Are rose gold, and have smaller diamonds half way around the bands. Both bands are milgrain bands and the smaller diamonds that alternate between round and square diamonds. I love my ring!

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

Since we had our pictures taken with our horses. Our outfits were western based. I had a white dress picked out to wear my tall red Old Gringo boots, which were the same boots I got married in. Travis had two different Ariat shirts to wear that complimented my outfit color selection. One had a white and light blue western design on it, the other was a solid blue color.  We both wore cowboy boots. When we took pictures on the horses, I changed into jeans and a pink sleeveless top I had bought from Savannah Seven’s a western boutique. Both of my outfits I accessorized with turquoise earrings, necklace, and a turquoise leather wrist cuff.
