Kristen Marcus Photography photographed Jena and Cameron on their sunny engagement session as they strolled the campus of Spring Hill College. Not only did Cameron complete the Southern look with his cowboy boots, they also included their fur baby – which is always a win in our book! Jena’s smile in these photos tells you everything you need to know about their love and we couldn’t be happier for them.
How did you meet?
We have the funniest story about how we met. He’s still a little embarrassed so he still tells people we met at a gas station when I was petting his dog….. but the truth is … we met on Tinder! But in our defense, he asked me for my number within one night of talking and we both left the app for good! The rest I guess is history! But I am beyond thankful we did meet no matter how it happened. Cameron truly is the love of my life and I am so thankful to get to marry him!
What is your proposal story?
Cameron moved to Texas in October and I was still teaching in Mobile, AL so I had flew into Texas for a long weekend in January. It was his birthday weekend so I thought we were celebrating him. However, after his birthday dinner he took me to downtown Houston. Walking around the huge waterfall he got down on one knee! He pulled off a wonderful surprise!
Tell us about the ring/band.
My ring is solid gold with a 1/2 carat diamond in the center and tiny diamonds across the band.
Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.
We did simple accessories. I wore my engagement ring and earrings. Cameron wore his usual cowboy boot and jeans with a button up shirt. I wore jeans and a white blouse.
