Alabama Airplane Runway Engagement Session

This sweet couple chose to have their engagement session in a place that hits close to home. With Matthew being a pilot, Kayce Stork Photography couldn’t wait to capture them in their element – and by their plane! We can’t help but hear Frank Sinatra’s ‘Come Fly With Me’ playing in our heads as we scroll through their photos and see Anne Elisabeth’s white dress blowing in the wind.

How did you meet?

We met at our church, Magnolia Springs Baptist Church. The first time I saw Matthew, I thought he was too good-looking to be single. Matthew really began getting interested when I would come over to his house for a Bible study that his parents were hosting.

What is your proposal story?

After choir practice, Matthew started to give the choir a speech. He said, “Thank you all so much for your hard work on our Christmas play. You all have become so special to me, and to prove that I want you all to be part of one of the most special moments in my life. Anne Elisabeth, will you marry me?” Then, he got on one knee and my family and our church family were all present.

Tell us about the ring/band.

The engagement ring is white gold. It’s 3/8 karat weight from Zales Outlet. It is a teardrop/pear-shaped with a diamond halo. The band on the engagement ring has a twisted band that has one strand that is solid white gold and the other has diamonds in the white gold.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

My favorite was the attire for the airport shoot. I wore a white dress with ruffles on the seam of the waistline and on the end of the sleeves. I wore nude/blush heels with a strap over the foot and around the ankle. I wore pearl earrings and a gold knot necklace from Pink Post Office Boutique. Matthew wore khaki pants, a brown belt, brown boots, and a blue printed button down shirt. He rolled the sleeves on the shirt.
